Doug Nalle

Doug has lived in the Healdsburg/Geyserville area since 1973 and according to some old timers, “Still not a local…and never will be!” Maybe that’s why he appreciates Dry Creek Valley so much. He matriculated (his favorite word) at many schools and somewhere in the mix managed to earn a B.A. from the University of Redlands and a M.S. from U.C. Davis. Doug was active in the Peace Corps and U.S. Army. However, grapes and wine pretty much consumed his adult life. He developed five winery projects; seeing four to completion. Doug’s wife, Lee and he have lived on her ancestor’s Dry Creek property since 1984, where they raised two sons, grow grapes, and have Nalle Winery. This is Doug’s second go-a-round serving on the DCVA Board of Directors. As Doug puts it, “Our valley is a precious place in this world, and we must steadfastly maintain and protect it”.
